Amid an NFL spokesman's report Monday that the league has not made a decision on whether to suspend Michael Vick for the season, two more defendants in the dogfighting operation that allegedly took place on the Atlanta Falcons quarterback's property are planning to enter plea agreements.
The two defendants' decisions would make Vick the lone defendant to plead not guilty.
Purnell Peace, 35, of Virginia Beach, Va., and Quanis Phillips, 28, of Atlanta have scheduled hearings for Thursday and Friday.
Tony Taylor, 34, of Hampton, Ga., became a government witness on July 30, four days after he and the other three had originally entered not guilty pleas.
Meanwhile, an NFL spokesman said the league is still gathering facts in the Vick case.
"The commissioner has not made any decision," NFL spokesman Greg Aiello said.
Aiello's comment came amid a report by Yahoo.com, citing two anonymous sources, that the league "likely will announce this week or next" the season-long suspension of Vick.
